XRS Offroad Round 1, 2018 took place in Fanatix Racing Track for the 1/10 2wd Buggy class. In qualifying the best lap was done by last yearâ™s 4WD Greek champion Dimitris Fotinos driving his new Xray XB2â™18. Starting second on the grid was last yearâ™s 2WD Greek champion Amaksas and third was the asphalt-originated Dimitris Ioannidis who was participating for the first time in an offroad race.

In leg 1 Fotinos set the pace as he won with a 4 second gap over the second driver Sakis Sikianakis with his Xray and third was Katexakis.
In leg 2 Fotinos was leading from start to finish but there was a battle for second place between Ioannidis and Amaksas where the latter made a mistake 3 laps before the end and the young driver took second place with last yearâ™s 2wd Greek Champion behind him.
In the last leg, Fotinos led from the start but a mistake at the end of the race gave Ioannidis the chance close the gap and have a decent battle concluding in Fotinos grabbing the again leaving behind him Ioannidis who secured the second overall place. In third place finished up Katexakis. Overall, it was a good race with very nice mood and atmosphere from all racers with battles in both A-main and B-main.
